Basketball Uniform Fundraiser
Granny Shots: Grandmothers are invited to participate in the fundraiser for new High School Girls Basketball Uniforms on Sunday, May 10 after the church service in the gym. $2324 of the $3000 has been successfully earned. A few more successful shots will win the balance.
Kitchen Manager
Our current School Cook and Cook Aide will not be returning next school year, and we are seeking dependable individuals to help fill these vital roles in our school community.
Our Hot Lunch Program provides free and reduced-price meals for all students and plays an important role in supporting our families. To continue meeting state requirements and operating the program successfully, we must fill the Kitchen Manager/Cook position for the upcoming school year.
If we are unable to fill these positions, the school may need to transition to an outside catering service or require students to bring cold lunches from home.
Cooking experience is welcomed but not required. Paid online training will be provided for all new hires. Additionally, Julia is happy to have interested candidates shadow her before the end of the school year to learn more about the role and daily responsibilities.
Both positions are part-time (between 20-30 hours per week during the school year), but they involve interacting with the students of our school from Kindergarten through High School, as well as our school staff. These positions are an opportunity to impact the lives of these young people in a positive and important way, and are a way of serving them, their parents, and the staff of the school on a daily basis.
The Kitchen Manager (Cook) has a pay rate of $20/hour plus 50% off tuition rate for any children attending ILS. The Cook Aide position pays an hourly rate, as well as a reduced tuition rate for any children attending ILS.
