Day 365. I've studied the Bible my entire life, but I've never read it in its entirety before. I loved doing it this year, along with Church. Thank you for that! Some parts were fascinating, some disturbing, some poetic, and some prophetic. I believe that it's writers were inspired by God and it is true world history. Highlights for me included the book of Exodus. I was amazed at the detail God gave the children of Israel in designing the tabernacle and the medical instructions for the priests. Some of the old testament is just plain gross, when people weren't following God's will and some really bad things happened to women in particular. The prophetic books are interesting, especially Ezekiel. I want to study that book in more detail because the prophecies are so unusual. But throughout the Bible, we are pointed to God's grace in saving us from our sins through the perfect life, death, and resurrection of his own son, Jesus Christ. As it says in Romans 10, verse 17, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
