Pre-Service Prayer:

Dear Jesus, dwell in my heart, teach me, and strengthen my faith in such a way that I don’t just leave my Bible on the shelf in all of my everyday dealings. Rather, move me to seek Your wisdom first in all my life’s circumstances and make use of Your Word always. Move me to avoid the temptation of making You a one-day-a-week priority, and instead turn to You as an everyday Savior for everything. To that end, send Your Holy Spirit upon me through Your Word in worship today and bless me. Amen.

Pre-Service Devotion:

Psalms 133-134

First Reading:

1 Corinthians 12:1-27

God gives differing gifts—both in type and quantity—to each of His children. The variation of gifts does not make one better or more important than the other. Each brother or sister in Christ is a valuable asset to the body of Christ—the Church—and all of its members.

Second Reading:

John 2:1-11

Jesus attended a wedding feast in Cana as an invited guest. While in the midst of a typical wedding feast a crisis arose—they were out of wine. In the midst of a typical celebration, Jesus had the opportunity to reveal Himself as the Son of God by changing water to wine.
