Heavenly Father, thank You for graciously sending and then revealing Your Son as the Savior of all sinners. As I meditate on Your Word, create in me an ever growing confidence in Jesus as my Savior and an ever deepening trust in all that You show me in Your Word. Cause my heart to be overjoyed in the knowledge of my salvation and preserve me always in Your kingdom. Amen.
Through Isaiah God foretold how the Christ and Savior of the world would bring the light of salvation to those walking in darkness. The promised Messiah would draw people to Himself including Gentiles. Those drawn to Jesus would find Him and be moved to worship Him and give of themselves to Him.
Salvation was never limited to the Jews. We know of Gentiles in the Old Testament who were brought to faith including Ruth, an ancestor of Jesus. The wise men are the first Gentiles (as far as we know) who found Jesus and worshipped Him after His birth. Years later, Paul was called to be an apostle particularly to the Gentiles. Praise God for His great salvation which includes all people!
