Hymns: 188, 245, 464, 625
Pre-Service Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I confess that I have not loved You nor my neighbor as fully or as perfectly as You desire. All such failures to love are sins I confess and ask You to forgive. Cause love to overflow in my heart so that others will see my love and through it also see Jesus, my Savior. Bless us all in worship today. Amen.

Pre-Service Devotion:

Psalm 145

First Reading:

1 Corinthians 13:1-7

The Apostle Paul describes a true, self-sacrificing, Christlike love. As you hear this love described, you will recognize how short our love often falls and how our sins are a lack of love. But also consider how the description fits God’s love so marvelously—from the first Gospel promise through Bible History and down to our own personal histories.

God’s amazing love for us has made us children of God and given us the confident hope of eternal life. As we demonstrate similar love in our dealings with others, God's love will be revealed through us.
