A Word of Truth #174
Let no one doubt the true existence of both Heaven and Hell. They are real and we will all be spending eternity in one place or the other.
Hell is a place of torment and misery, unending pain, suffering, and sorrow because those in Hell are completely separated from God with no hope of reconciliation. Hell is the outer darkness and everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:30).
On the other hand, those in heaven will enjoy eternity in the presence of God. In heaven, we will see God as He is, face to face (cf. 1 John 3:2). There all the sorrows, cares, and troubles of this life will be gone and erased from memory for “God will wipe away all tears from [our] eyes and there will be no more sorrow, nor crying, neither will there be any more pain for all these former things will have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

Why baptize infants? Some Christians suggest you should not! We are to baptize infants, for they are part of all nations, and Jesus has commanded us to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them” (Matthew 28:19). We are to baptize infants, for they too are sinners and need forgiveness. King David confesses for us all, “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me” (Psalm 51:5 NIV). We are to baptize infants, because they can also believe when the Spirit works simple trust, which is faith in their hearts. Jesus once said referring to even the tiniest infants, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.” We are then told that Jesus picked those children up and blessed them. Through baptism Jesus still blesses little children today!
