A Word of Truth #001
Some say that there is no God, but all of creation testifies otherwise. The complexity of our world suggests thoughtful design. The Psalmist says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork” (Psalm 19:1).
Creation provides evidence of God’s existence, but it does not reveal who God is. God reveals Himself in the Bible. There He speaks of His works, His expectations, and our failures. He also reveals His love for us in Jesus Christ and explains how Jesus rescues us from sin and death.
Consider the universe and God who created it. Discover more about God and His Son Jesus in the Bible.
A Word of Truth #002 2002 revision of 1994 material
There are many writers of the Bible, but only one author. God Himself gave the writers the words to write. God says, “All Scripture is God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:15).
God’s purpose for giving us His Word is that we might be made “wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15). In His Word, God tells you how Jesus Christ came to the earth to live and die for your sins so that you might escape the condemnation of hell and live with Him forever in heaven.
The Bible is God’s Word and therefore, it is truth. Speaking to His heavenly Father, Jesus said, “…Your Word is TRUTH” (John 17:17). Because it is Truth, God’s Word is a clear and certain guide. You need never doubt what it says. His Word is never in error. It is not up for debate. It is not open to differing views. His Word is TRUTH!
